Content Advisory
During Basic Progress, there are many exercises which the participants are required to perform. Many times, there is a significant amends to make, a friend or relative may need to be blessed in some way or sometimes a personal event needs closure. Towards the conclusion of the spiritual journey, they also are given options on how to process their BP experience. That could be a short life history narrative, an essay on .What BP means for them,. or a testimony as to how the Basic Progress Experience has altered the lived experience. These links are not just testimonies that come from the BP environment, several of them were written many years after their Basic Progress Group finished their cycle. Some are from ladies, some from men and a couple are from former TDCJ offenders who have rejoined society to live life with their family and children.
Basic Progress has determined that the best format is anonymous presentation. Very little of the content has been adjusted to communicate effectively (misspelled words) or to protect identity (names, places). They are all real. We hope you understand and accept these as authentic heart felt words from people who are now productively content as a loved child of God. They are unanimous in their desire to help you understand what happens in Basic Progress behind closed doors: we become friend, we gain our dignity, and we fall in love with each other. Buckle in; this is real life coming at gut level.
