Date rape is a violent crime. In the moment of fun, curiosity and adventure things go too far. Many determine to stop, but it is too late. The other party refuses to acknowledge 'no', or worse, subdues an individual for sexual assault by overpowering strength, date rape drug or psychological manipulation. This case was one in which a modern rave party scene drug was inadvertently ingested by the victim. Something violent, something damaging, something bad had happened, but it just was not clear. By the time of the realization of the offense, it was too late to do anything about it. What kind of nightmare is this?

How do you forgive someone for rape? You pray upon the weak. You saw that I was alone, unhappy and vulnerable so you took advantage. You slipped GHB in my drink as I was blacking in and out you assured me the cab was taking me home. I woke up in an unfamiliar house and it took me 1 magazine article on GHB and 2 weeks later for me to realize date rape is not a myth. It happened to me. I forgive myself for holding the guilt all these years. I forgive you both for not caring enough to respect others wishes. I forgive you and am letting go of this sharp pain that holds heavy on my mental well being. I forgive myself for trying to believe this did not happen to me.
